Browser Fingerprint FAQ

What is a fingerprint?

Sites collect screen size, OS, browser version, fonts, Canvas/WebGL, timezone, language, etc. to recognize returning visitors.

Why change it?

  • Isolate multi-account sessions
  • Lower linkage risk
  • Match a target region/device profile

Virtual Browser randomizes and isolates fingerprints per profile.

Change fingerprint settings

  1. Open a profile → Settings → fingerprint tab
  2. Adjust resolution, OS/UA, language, timezone
  3. Enable Canvas / WebGL / Audio protections as needed
  4. Save and relaunch the profile

Settings not applied

  • Confirm save succeeded
  • Full restart of the profile (not just a tab)
  • Avoid conflicting manual overrides vs IP-auto locale
  • Some sites use server-side checks beyond fingerprint

Pick a realistic profile
